At Kenn Capital, we believe in giving back to the communities in which we thrive.
As part of the series of charity initiatives by Kenn Foundation* planned for the Christmas season, the Kenn family kicked off its first Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. On 4th December 2018, with Singapore Red Cross Society as our charity partner, the Kenn family spread cheer to Red Cross Home for the Disabled.
The team went a-carolling in their Christmas best and the morning was spent decorating the dormitories and engaging in meaningful interactions with residents of the Home. Great team bonding as the team helped with manicures, personal grooming and did simple crafts with the residents. New friendships were forged. Despite difficulties in verbal communication skills, the residents were obviously thrilled, gesturing and grinning as the team put up Christmas wreaths, garlands and stockings! A very merry Christmas indeed!
After lunch, the Kenn family accompanied their new friends on an excursion to S.E.A Aquarium, Sentosa. Residents from the Home were enthralled by the underwater world – the awe-inspiring sharks, rare breeds of underwater creatures, jellyfish and even scuba-diving Santa and his elf! For many of them, just being able to leave the confines of their beds is a rare luxury. Kenn Capital is thankful for the opportunity to spread a little joy to the residents this festive season. Through our little efforts, we also hope to inspire more people in the community to help, to care and to offer their attention. From individuals, to large organisations – no giving is ever too insignificant.
At Kenn Capital, we believe every individual can do our part in building a more inclusive society. All of us here are definitely looking forward to the CSR activities lined up in 2019 and beyond!
